Thank you!

After a good journey back to school where we were warmly greeted with tea and cake, we unpacked and joined in a game of rounders.  Everyone is shattered but proud of their accomplishments this week. Tracy would like to thank all the students and the staff team, Kris, Steve and Jackson, for a great week. We would also like to thank the superb staff at YHA Edale for giving us the opportunity to take part in these incredible activities and for keeping us safe, special thanks to Kirsty, Sacha and Mark.

Happy Birthday Lewis!!!!

Our last day of activities was spent weaselling and abseiling, Lewis is celebrating his birthday and is proudly wearing his birthday hi vis vest!

We practiced hurdling over big boulders first. Then squeezing through tight gaps in the rocks.

Everybody joined in and had a great morning.

We then had to walk past some of the local wildlife to get back to the bus!

Luckily they were happy to pose for photos

After lunch, we had cake with the instructors before setting off abseiling

We went out to the Monsal Trail for our abseiling session- Sydney was first over the side

Tracy was accompanied by Anthony!

Jackson enjoyed it so much he went down 3 times. It was then off to Litton for our annual ice cream stop! We were spoilt for choice with flavours ranging from lemon curd to salted caramel. After a busy week Kris decided to treat himself to 2 flakes!

Anthony took the opportunity to buy some chocolates for his Mum.

After another lovely day we played football then packed our bags for an early start on Friday morning.

Wednesday 20 May 2015

Climbing was the feature of the day.

The prepping started

The team took in the information

Anthony was up first

His target was the top.

Off he went.

Kris and Lewis were impressed

Up went Sydney

Sydney became the support for Lewis while he was belaying.

Anthony defiantly needed the support as he left the floor.

Every student attempted the climb more then once.

A massive achievement and effort from them all.

After dinner the leap of faith was our evening activity

Up they went.

Leaping for the ball.

Some stepped it up and went blind folded.

The evening came to an end with everyone's feet on the ground.

Canoeing is where it really got interesting

The team took on the information and got to work.

Lewis took control.

T thought it was job done.

Both teams took to the water. However one team forgot about the water part.

The battle started and things got alittle messy. Down went Steve.

Followed by Anthony.

Steve did make up for it by completing the challenge.

End of a great afternoon.
